Qualcomm, Trigger XR, and Kittch collaborated on a prototype HMD cooking experience to show off the features of Snapdragon Spaces and Dual Render Fusion. Dual Render Fusion allows users to connect their smartphones to a Head-Mounted Display (HMD) and utilize their smartphones for input.
The objective of the project was to develop an AR cooking solution that prioritized functionality, ensuring a practical and user-friendly experience. Timers and instructional content can be placed in 3D space, allowing the user a hands-free cooking experience.
My Role
Led art direction to align the prototype visuals with Kittch’s branding
Shaped the UX for a functional, hands-free AR cooking assistant
Designed how the mobile app and headset work together, letting the phone act as a simple control while keeping the user’s focus in the HMD
Designed spatial placement and functionality of timers and step-by-step instructions in 3D space
Focused on usability, ensuring the experience felt practical in a real kitchen
Created animation samples for developer reference
